A lifelong film fanatic, Cam Roberts had spent six years developing his written voice when the pandemic presented an opportunity to join forces with his sister, editor and primary collaborator, Bella. Together, they produced a pair of five-minute shorts: the single-shot drama Coming Home and the home-invasion horror Screen Time. These films laid the foundations for a trilogy of cinematic recreations, whose success inspired Cam to pursue the filmmaking medium in serious career terms. Since then, he has written, directed, at times acted, and self-produced two original short films (Dressing Gown and Warm Glass), a television pilot, Head-Quarters, and a suicide prevention PSA The Scratch is not an Itch.
As of July 2026, Cam has developed Warm Glass into a fully-fledged feature script, while his next short film Strings Attached, and first feature Landfill are in the early stages of pre-production.
